Multi-Site Testimonies

Becoming one church in multiple locations requires ACTION on the part of our church family. Read why the following families are committed to worshipping on the Hersey High School campus starting September 7, 2008.

Tom is the Pastor of Compassion Ministries

"...There is nothing more exciting to me than to see the Kingdom of God advance in our community - to see people come to faith and to see people grow as Christians in a way they may have never thought possible is the greatest testimony to the reality of Jesus Christ in our time. We look forward to being part of something new, and to fellowship with a band of like-minded 'pioneers.' And we look forward to how the multi-site model can move us to an ever-increasing outward focus on our community, where we minister to those in need, proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and marvel at the work of the Holy Spirit among us."

Cal & RaeAnn Stuart
Cal serves as the Membership Elder on the Church Board

"We are very excited about the launch of a new AHEFC campus. It not only offers the opportunity to be part of a new worship site and outreach ministry but it also allows us to remain a part of the AHEFC family. We expect that many others will grasp the vision and look forward to what God has in store for those who 'go for it.'"

Brad & Heather Beitzel

"CHANGE- it doesn’t really make a difference if it’s a new job, new home, or new church… it’s never easy leaving something that is known, convenient and meaningful to go somewhere else, but God has been stirring in our hearts in just that way for several months now. Being involved in various ministries at AHEFC over the last 16 years, we have experienced much spiritual growth and have loved the fellowship of this community. We feel that God has called us to offer our gifts of service to help start up this new ministry and we are excited to see how He wants to use us. While we live only blocks away from the Douglas site, it is apparent to us that our desire for comfort, location and familiarity is becoming less strong than our desire to trust and obey God’s call in our lives.

Sam & Kim Yoakum

"This is an opportunity for us to grow, both spiritually and in our gifting areas. It is an opportunity to offer our abilities, our attitudes and our comfort in service of the gospel...to worship the same God, with the same teaching, the same direction, and the same Spirit in a new, more intimate setting. We discussed the decision, and prayed about it, and still hesitated to commit, but the Holy Spirit kept reminding us that the new site is where we belong. We are fully on board with the multi-site concept and are joyfully committing to attend the new site."
