***If you are new to Networking and/or job search, join us at St. Hubert, 6:00 pm, prior to our regular meetings (on the second Monday of the month only). We'll offer a one hour programs on how to participate in a networking meeting effectively, the tools you'll need, such as; elevator speech, How to do a Handbill; and How to generate leads and contacts. May 17, 2008 – “Resume Review” – to – St Francis de Sales Church , 135 South Buesching Road, Lake Zurich , IL.  Take advantage of this opportunity to have your resume reviewed by a professional who will share with you their suggestions and thoughts for improvement. We will have six individuals available to assist on a one-on-one basis.

 

May 19, 2008 – “Multi-Generational Interviewing” – to , Ministry Center of St. Hubert, 729 Grand Canyon, Hoffman Estates, IL. If you’ve ever wondered how to reach that person across the table, who is of a different generation that you are, this may be an important topic for you? Nancy Moran, a career coach and local career topic speaker will help us to better understand how to approach these often awkward career moments.

 

May 24, 2008 – “The Art of Cold Calling” – We have had many people tell us that they are less than comfortable about calling someone that they don’t know. This is a normal reaction and the discomfort comes from not knowing what to do or say when they answer. Our presenter Rosemary Monahan will help us through this important process and become more at ease with it. , Universalist Unitarian Church , 1025 N. Smith Rd, Palatine .

 

June 9, 2008 *** – “It’s All in Your Confidence” – Host of the local Exec-u-net group, Melody Campbell will lead us through a convincing presentation on how confidence helps to overcome concerns in your job search. So often we become self doubting and un-assured. Melody will help us to better understand what confidence looks like and how to apply it in your job search. June 21, 2008 – “Networking For Effect” – Hosted by St. Peter’s Church 524 N. Rush Street, Itasca , IL, our presenter Walt Polsky, President, Cambridge Human Resources Management will present a dynamic program on networking. Walt has been in the outplacement and career counseling field in Chicago with his own firm for over 30 years. His unique ideas and sound advice will serve attendees well. . Informal networking will follow the presentation.
