Serving Up Faith in the Break Room

An opportunity came up at work last Friday as I was eating my turkey and ham sandwich during Lent, and my Catholic coworker was "chastising" me for it--all in good fun. It opened up a door, well maybe a window, for me to explain my faith and to point out some similarities between her Catholic faith and my faith. She was under the impression that the Protestant faith did not believe in the virgin birth of Christ, and even asked if we celebrated Easter. I am planning to follow up by giving her a CD of last week's sermon, which explains so well what Christ did on the cross, and possibly a copy of the 12 Statements of Faith of our church. This all came about very naturally in the break room with about six other people in the room as well.
